CPRIT:
A. Research opportunity for innovative research proposals addressing critically imporant questions that will significantly advance knowledge of the causes, prevention, and/or treatment of cancer, with an award up to $1 million annually for 4 years.
B. Research opportunity for relatively short-term high-impact/high-risk projects that are innovative, developmental, or exploratory in nature targeting new avenues of cancer research, with an award up to $200,000 over 24 months.
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) 2009 Norman Hackerman Advanced Research Program (NHARP) Grant Program
The Norman Hackerman Advanced research Program (NHARP) is a competitive, peer-reviewed grants program that supports basic research projects of faculty members at Texas public and indpendent higher educataion institutions. Approximately $16.4 million is available for NHARP awardsd during the 2010/2011 biennium.
At its meeting on April 8, 2009, the Advisory Committee on Research Programs recommended funding allocations to the different research areas.
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board approved the Program announcement for the 2009 NHARP competition at its quarterly meeting (July 29). It is available from the www.ARPATP.com website.
